    The first stage of the workshops is focusing on male-identified audience and elaborating the concept of the Power of Choice. A powerful heart-and-eye-opening large group presentation to an all male identified audience on masculinity conditioning and gender stereotypes and how they impact the choices young men make regarding their behaviours and attitudes toward each other and in particular, toward girls and women.     Soroptimist International of Vancouver (“SI Vancouver”) was very happy and honoured to invite Ms. Anita Roberts, the founder of SafeTeen as Guest Speaker at our March 11th Meeting. Many members in SI Vancouver have known Anita as Soroptimist 2011 Ruby Award recipient. Soroptimist Ruby Award is the award that honours the woman who, through her profession, has worked to improve the lives of women and girls, has had a significant impact on the lives of women and girls, and would inspire and encourage other women.     Together, we make a difference: Soroptimist International Global Impact Report

    Soroptimist International launched its Global Impact Report 2012-13, demonstrating the collective impact of SI’s work around the world, educating, empowering and enabling opportunities for women and girls. Educate, Empower, Enable In 2012, Soroptimists reported on 3,727 projects to promote women and girls’ participation in education and leadership. Nearly 110,000 women and girls were educated, empowered and enabled. SI evidence shows that small scale projects, together, can have huge scale impact improving the lives of women and girls. A Global Voice Thanks to our Consultative Status at the UN, SI was invited to deliver statements to 193 government officials at the UN on 10 separate occasions. The programme work of over…
